It's the final countdown!

In just a few short hours, the 2013 winner of the prestigious Bony Blithe Award will have been announced.

In just a few short hours, one author will be called up to the podium at the National Club to accept their award (oh and yes! a nice little cheque to go along with it!) and stand in front of their peers and loved ones to accept the award and have their moment in the spotlight.

In just a few short hours, all of the months of hard work and effort of a team of fabulous collaborators will all come together in a glorious room, in an amazingly historic building that's full of it's own mysteries and intrigue.  In just a few short hours, perhaps a brand new Bony Blithe entry will be born...!

This week finds us featuring Janet Bolin.  A lover of reading, writing, sewing and beautiful 4-legged furry friends, she is the author of the Threadville series.  Dire Threads, Berkley Prime Crime, the first novel in the series, was nominated for both the Bony Blithe Award and the Agatha Award in 2012.  The second novel in the series, Threaded for Trouble, is the book for which she has been nominated for the 2013 Bony Blithe Award.

The path to publication sometimes runs smooth

Wow!  It's May.  And not just May, like the first couple of days.  We're fully into the first full week of May.  You know what that means?  Well, that the anticipation, the excitement, the mystery and the intrigue are all soon about to come to an amazing and spectacular end!

Of course, I could have just said that means that the Bony Blithe Gala is coming up quickly!  That however would have taken all of the fun out of that intro!  If you don't have your tickets yet, please don't wait!  This is a limited, ticketed event.  For more information head on over to ticket page on the website

Also, we are pleased to announce that on the evening of the gala, A Novel Spot will be setting up a mobile bookstore full of the shortlisted titles so that you can not only add them to your library, but have them signed by the authors as well!  This will be CASH ONLY.
